HDi Ford Focus ST / XR5 GT2440 Pro Intercooler Kit

The HDi GT2440 Pro Intercooler Kit is a complete high-performance intercooler upgrade designed for the Ford Focus XR5 Turbo / Focus ST225.

HDi developed the GT2 Pro system around an all-new intercooler design engineered to deliver excellent airflow, reduced pressure drop and improved charge-air cooling for both standard and modified vehicles.

At the heart of the system is the specially designed HDi GT2 intercooler, featuring a robust 25-row tube-and-fin core. The intercooler end tanks have been specifically engineered to distribute airflow evenly across the entire core, helping maximize cooling efficiency while minimizing restriction and pressure drop.

The innovative end-tank construction also provides an excellent combination of strength, low weight and high airflow capacity, making the GT2440 Pro suitable for demanding street and performance applications.

Optimized Intercooler Piping

The intercooler piping has been designed to follow the shortest practical route, using minimal bends and silicone connections. This helps reduce unnecessary restriction, improve airflow and provide a more direct path between the turbocharger, intercooler and engine.

HDi’s purpose-designed clamp system also reduces the internal steps normally created by conventional silicone hose and clamp connections, providing a smoother transition through the intercooler pipework.

Performance Upgrade

The factory intercooler can become a limiting factor as boost pressure, engine load and power levels increase. Upgrading to the HDi GT2440 Pro helps reduce intake-air temperatures and provides more consistent charge-air cooling during repeated acceleration, spirited driving and performance use.

Lower and more stable intake temperatures can help provide improved consistency and give the engine management system a better operating environment when used with an appropriate performance calibration.
