Installation Information

Take care throughout the installation process to avoid damaging the injector body, injector tip, or pintle/orifice area.

Remove the old O-rings carefully using a suitable small pick and install the replacement O-rings by rolling them into position with your fingers.

On many compatible EV1 injectors:

• The black O-ring is fitted to the upper fuel inlet end.
• The brown/orange O-ring is fitted to the lower injector end.
• The lower component order is typically pintle cap, O-ring and spacer ring.

To remove an old inlet filter, a suitably sized sheet-metal screw can be carefully threaded into the old filter. The filter can then be worked free while taking care not to damage the injector body.

Install new inlet filters carefully and evenly. Do not support the injector tip against a hard surface while installing the filter.

Old pintle caps can be carefully removed using suitable cutters or a blade, taking particular care not to damage the injector pintle or orifice plate.

A 10mm socket can commonly be used to evenly seat the replacement pintle cap after the O-ring and spacer have been installed.

Injector Cleaning & Flow Testing

Bullet Performance Racing can also provide ultrasonic injector cleaning and flow testing for an additional charge.

This can be a worthwhile option when rebuilding older injectors, allowing the injectors to be cleaned, checked for leakage and compared for flow consistency before being returned to service.
