Falcon Instrument Cluster EEPROM Cloning & Programming Service (IC)

Professional Ford Falcon and Territory Instrument Cluster (IC / IPC) EEPROM cloning, programming and bench testing service.

We can program and clone many Ford Falcon and Territory instrument clusters, including FG, FG X and SZ applications.

We can also test your instrument cluster on our dedicated bench equipment to help identify communication, programming and electronic faults before replacement.

How It Works

Send your original instrument cluster, along with the replacement cluster where applicable, to our workshop for programming.

Once received, we will:

• Inspect and identify both clusters
• Read the original instrument cluster data
• Clone or transfer the required EEPROM/configuration data
• Program the replacement cluster
• Bench test the cluster where possible
• Return the programmed unit ready for installation

Please include your name, contact details, vehicle VIN and return address with the clusters.

Common Instrument Cluster Faults

This service may assist with faults including:

• No communication with other vehicle modules
• Security light flashing in the instrument cluster
• Vehicle no-start after instrument cluster failure or replacement
• Gauges frozen, incorrect or inoperative
• Theft deterrent message displayed in the instrument cluster
• Replacement cluster requiring configuration or data transfer

Common Diagnostic Trouble Codes

• U1900 – CAN Communication Bus Fault
• U0164 – Lost Communication with Instrument Cluster
• U0166 – Lost Communication with HVAC Control Module

Fault codes should be properly diagnosed before assuming the instrument cluster itself is defective, as communication faults can also be caused by wiring, power supply, ground or CAN network faults.

Instrument Cluster EEPROM Cloning

Where a compatible replacement instrument cluster is available, we can transfer the required data from the original cluster into the replacement unit.

Depending on the cluster type and condition, this may include:

• EEPROM data transfer
• Vehicle-specific configuration
• Instrument cluster configuration
• Relevant stored vehicle data
• Odometer-related data where technically and legally applicable
• Bench verification and communication testing

For standard cloning, we normally require both the original instrument cluster and replacement instrument cluster.

Advanced Data Recovery

Our standard service assumes the original instrument cluster can be accessed through normal diagnostic, bench or module-programming methods.

If the cluster does not communicate and requires:

• Case opening
• Direct EEPROM access
• Direct processor or flash-memory access
• PCB-level connection
• Advanced data recovery from a damaged or non-responsive module

an additional advanced direct data-recovery surcharge may apply.
